Many years ago i was the senior amp tech at APT Corp, Cambridge MA. The APT-1 was a fantastic amplifier designed by Tomlinson Holman, who later designed the THX system, and the Audyessy system. The amplifier was a 100W/ch amplifier with some very innovative design features, some of which are apparently still ahead of their time. The first file i'm uploading is the basic amplifier module, without the ancillary circuits, so the DC servo, distortion detector and SOA detector are not yet included. The transistor models can be added to standard.bjt (which is what i have done) or referenced with a model or include statement. some of the models for the original transistors are not available, so i have used their closest (that i can find at least) cousins. When i build a "modernized" Apt-1 i will likely use these devices, as well as some of the best ultra-linear transistors available today. MJL4302/4281 devices weren't available back in the 80's, but i'm sure they will make a nice improvement on an already excellent amp design.
