I have been an analog and system designer for the better part of 30 years. Primary expertise in the following areas:

• Ultra-Precision Analog Hardware Designs • Passive & Active RF and Microwave Design (up to 150 GHz) • Multi-System Physical Modeling, Simulation & Analysis • Ultrafast Time Domain Hardware • Electro-Optics, Bulk Optics • Switchmode & Linear Power Design Topologies • EMI (radiative and conductive) & ESD Testing • Class II and Class III Medical Device Design • PCB Design of Switchmode Power, RF/Microwave, Analog and High Speed Digital

I have worked in RF and microwave designs (both commercial and government) requiring filtering, amplification and interconnection techniques from 200 MHz to 30 GHz.

I have developed sensors which are capable of detecting tens of femtoamperes at KHz bandwidths, power converters (both AC-DC and DC-DC) ranging from 2-3 Watts to 5 KW, optoelectrical front-ends capable of detecting chemiluminescent emissions in the nanoseconds with phase resolution to better than 1 degree at 50KHz, invasive medical equipment with extremely strict FDA requirements to EMI and leakage requirements, performed detailed math analysis in both time and frequency domains for control loop (feedback) and forward loop dynamics, PCB layout associated with signal integrity issues using manufacturer’s substrate/dielectric data, etc.

Tools - PSpice/RF simulations, Orcad’s Capture & Layout, Cadence’s SpecctraQuest (SI) and Allegro Tools, VisSim numerical simulator, AWR & Agilent ADS design/analysis Office Suites.
