Hierarchical schematic drafting has powerful advantages. Much larger circuits can be drafted than can fit onto a one sheet schematic while retaining the clarity of the smaller schematics. Repeated circuitry can be easily handled in an abstract manner. Blocks of circuitry can be libraried for latter use in a different project.
