Electronics Engineer originally from Cape Town, South Africa, now based in Auckland, New Zealand.

I have experience with low power design, analogue design, digital design, micro-controllers, the usual assortment of communication ports and buses, requirements specification, part selection, schematic drafting, PCB placement and routing, and generation of fabrication, assembly, BOM, 3D, and related CAD outputs files.

I have produced new designs and maintained existing designs for industries as diverse as agriculture, energy metering, ventilation, water purification, industrial weighing systems, surge protection, illumination, and climate monitoring.

I have experience in design periphery activities such as specification preparation, prototype and production test procedure preparation, product industrialisation support, part price negotiations with global distributors, Client management, and design team leadership and management.

Outside of work, I am a beginner badminton player, amateur photographer, maths and physics tutor for high school students, volunteer accredited mentor for teens with low self-efficacy, volunteer at the New Zealand Badminton Open, volunteer judge at the Auckland Science Fair, and global traveler with little time, less money, and a passion for alternative cultures.
