40+ years experience developing, applying, and modeling switching power conversion techniques in computer, networking, industrial, military, and consumer applications. Several patents and over two dozen technical conference papers, magazine articles, and application notes. Began career at ROLM, spent many years as a Principal Applications Engineer with Power Integrations and Senior Member Technical Staff for Tandem/Compaq/HP. Worked eight years as a Field Applications Engineer for Linear Tech providing power conversion expertise for large and small Silicon Valley companies.  Also pioneered using Average LTSPICE models as part of LTPowerCAD. Currently a Senior Principal Engineer at ADI focusing on modeling and simulating power conversion circuits with SIMPLIS and EE-Sim alongside LTSPICE and LTPowerCAD. An IEEE Senior Member, holds both BSEE & MSEE degrees from Santa Clara University where he also regularly teaches a power conversion graduate course.
